MAHSA was established in the year 2005 in Pusat Bandar Damansara, Kuala Lumpur with the belief that higher education in the field of healthcare is a vital cog in the development of the nation.

Today, over 10, 000 students are enrolled in over 22 courses ranging from Certificate programs to Diploma, Degree and Masters programs.

With the Early Clinical Skills development program, students are given minimal lectures and go through rotational clinical postings. They are expected to change their learning mode to an apprenticeship or internship type model where most of learning is achieved by seeing patients in different context and setting.

MAHSA has also set up various clinics within the KL region:
MAHSA Medical Clinics, Dental OPDs, Physiotherapy Centers, Eye Clinic

The main purpose of these clinics are mainly for the clinical training of students
Students and their families are entitled for subsidized care in any one of the above facilities.

A few days back, we were invited for a tour around the MAHSA Campus.
Basically more on the dry labs/ wet labs and musuem.
I only had a few photos to share because I was too busy learning all the stuffs, everything was new for me! haha

Pretty interesting photos right?

Anyway, do you know that MAHSA also have a few partnerships with foreign universities..?

The Northumbria University, UK is MAHSA's oldest partner. With approximately 1500 students studying in MAHSA, MAHSA is the largest international student body outside Northumbria! and apart from that, Teesside University, Liverpool John Moores University, UK
and the LIJ University, New York, USA are also MAHSA's partners.

The Northumbria University, UK

not forgetting the hospitals that MAHSA has worked with...

Kuala Lumpur General Hospital , which is the largest hospital in the country serving over 2500 beds with specialty and super-specialty departments has been allocated to train MAHSA's Medical, Dental and Physiotherapy students.! That's amazing, being able to be trained in the largest hospital in Malaysia!

In addition, there are 10 state general hospitals, 20 private hospitals, and 20 health clinics which MAHSA is affiliated with for clinical placement and training.

and last but not least, THANK YOU MAHSA for providing us a
Free First Aid Basic CPR course!
