The All new SAMSUNG WAVE II (2) S8530.
It is the successor of SAMSUNG WAVE S8500.

The SAMSUNG WAVE 2 runs on Bada OS 1.2 , the next version after Bada OS 1.1 which the Wave runs, and comes with a bigger 3.7 inch S-LCD display.

The Bada OS 1.2 is extremely easy to use, good for beginners! It also supports multitasking function so users can open simultaneous applications smoothly

The display is a capacitive touchscreen one with an S-LCD panel which is the next best thing after Super AMOLED.

It has a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor and 512 MB RAM and 2 GB of internal storage.

The Samsung Bada App Store doesn't offer as many apps as the iPhone App Store or the Android Market, but you should find most of the BASIC stuff there.

The touch screen specifications are Super Clear TFT, 16 millions color, 480×800 pixels, multi-touch, double-tap, 3.7 inches, accelerometer, and proximity sensor. This Super Clear TFT touch screen offers high contrast and brightness level.

The video player supports various video format such as H.263, H.264, MPEG4, WMV, DivX, XvID, and MKV. The video recorder feature supports 720p at 30fps.

The 5MP camera is supported by many useful camera features such as flash light, autofocus, touchfocus, macro, anti-shake, face detection, smileshot, panorama, and ISO. ISO available is 50/100/200/400/800.

Samsung Wave II S8530 cell phone’s web browser is Dolfin v2.2 web browser which already supports flash content, RSS reader, WAP, HTML, and multi-window.

Thanks to Rebecca and Advertlets, I have the opportunity to try out the new Samsung WAVE II for a week. Thank YOU!
Minus point is that there is no light sensor available so the automatic brightness control is not available, iPhone has a light sensor just on the top of the phone.
But you can always change the brightness manually. not a big deal.
Ultra Thin!
This is the unlock button.
You have to press this button at the TOP right corner and..
sweep the screen to unlock your phone.
a little bit difficult because the Top Right Unlock button is quite hard to press with your thumb.
p/s: you can't unlock it like an iPhone (press home + sweep screen)
The incoming voice call screen.
Very nice way of answering a phone call, you have to press and hold the accept button for 2secs to answer. (No sweep action like the iPhone)
I feel it's better because for the iPhone, the sweep action tends to slip at times and you have to lock and unlock it back to sweep nicely.
This is the cool part!
If you have a missed call or a incoming sms, you will get this jigsaw puzzle screen!
By matching it/them to the respective blanks, you will unlock the phone and go straight to the Logs (the recent calls page).
Not bad not bad!
Thumbs up.
Very very useful.
similar to iPhone's MyWi.
Samsung has it in their settings, not an application.
Your phone can now be a WIFI modem, providing Wifi internet connection for up to 3 different users! that's superb!
and a very large screen!
very smooth and responsive.
Comparing side by side with the iPhone 3GS
Samsung has a slightly bigger screen
The LED flash on the 5MP camera.
