FUNKY VILLA E@CURVE CINELEISURE THAI FOOD

My friends and I visited Funky Villa at E@Curve last week and tried some of their specialty Thai food. I must say that it was really different from the ones I normally eat, something that we don’t eat everyday. Let me recommend some of the delicious food that we had....


Ice Lemongrass (a.k.a Serai which is widely used in savoury dishes)
This is really refreshing and has a vibrant flavour.
Lemongrass promotes good digestion and cool the body
It’s like a stimulant and makes you go aahhh after a sip! =p



Fish Cake wrapped In Half Boiled Eggs
Yum yum.. 9.5/10
Our favorite dish for the night. It has a very interesting taste, the egg sits
and blends well in the fish cake.


Prawn Wrapped In Vermicelli
Finger food for you to munch while catching up with your friends.
This wrapped around popiah style is easy to eat.
Spice up the taste with the Thai Chili sauce


Cat Fish Mango Salad
Something very new to all of us!
The fish floss is crispy with ground nuts and goes well with the mango salad.
Good presentation and looks appealing.


Basil Leaf Beef
It’s sweet, aromatic and has a little bit of sizzling taste that add a real spark to this dish. The beef is tender and well cooked, not too chewy and not to hard, just the right texture. Basil is also known to treat digestive disorders and soothing pain.

Otak-Otak Thai Style
Huge chunks of fish inside, really nice!
A very unique way of presenting the otak-otak in a coconut.
Basically a classic Nyonya dish, brightly flavoured with aromatic herbs.
My personal favorite but some may not agree haha!

Steam Squid
A very well presented dish with fine chopped lime, garlic and chilli.
It’s sweet, sour and a little bit spicy. Appetizing!
