freaking expensive lens...
Did this with a wireless flash below it,
F/11 , 1/250 sec , iso 100
These mushrooms are really really small, around the size of a 10c coin.

I like macro lah...
Photography. Concerts. YoYo. Aircrafts. Events. Outings.

I like macro lah...
Let's continue the shots from the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2008.
The weather was fine on that day, perfect wind and we found a suitable place to set up our tripods. There were so many people on the last day, it's the finals and it's a friday night, what do you expect.?
Again, it's my first time shooting, didn't have any shutter release cable with me.
Have to result on a 2 seconds timer which delayed 2 precious seconds of my long exposure.
Will definitely equip myself well next year.
A better and more stabil tripod as well.
Let's see the results
I like this the most, colour varieties.

Simple yet interesting

booooooom
p/s virtualmystic and tzewen, I thought I should be the last one posting the pictures?
Ended up me being the first one to post all.
That's all. What's next?

Lots of free gifts. Damn worth the price, it's a Sony.
So far 5 people have followed me into the Sony Alpha Photography world,
and I have to say that you guys will not regret buying them.
Sony, the choice of Champions.

Here it is, the medals that I've won during the Nationals 2008

and some wikid rare patches. awesome..
will be pretty busy these few days,
Fireworks shooting, Jungle tracking, Merdeka Countdown, yumcha sessions that I've turned down for xxx times, yoyo performances, catch up with the gang, wedding dinner, practice for regionals championship,
and the most important, I need to start studying for Module 3 - Generators, RCL circuits, Motors, etc etc. And there will be an oral test on Hydraulics. aaah...
Just came back from batting in 1 utama.
First time doing it in a real batting cage, the feeling was awesome.
But kinda tiring although you only hit 15 balls.
FYI the pricing - 1 token = 15 balls = RM 6
quite affordable lah, an experience that is worth trying.
Went there at 9pm with Iskandar, QingWen and JunJie.
All of them are from Singapore! haha...
It was fun hitting the 40mph balls. Not easy though...
QingWen had 3 rounds - 40mph, 50mph and 60mph!
He was damn good in this.

It's me hitting! A future professional baseball player? haha

Us, damn fun sia.
Hello,
Sorry for the lack of updates/pictures. I have been busy for the past 3 days, it was the 4th National YoYo Open.
To sum it all up, I won in the Offstring Division. Yes first place, first time. I'm so happy.
It's really hard to win when you have strong opponent like Raymond and Jazli, their freestyles were awesome, pretty clean overall. And obviously there were other competitor like Aliff from Malacca which improved tremendously in his technical offstring freestyle with a flying panda. Damn scary at first when he finished his freestyle.
The finalists for the Offstring division
(FYI Offstring division is a different yoyo style of play where the yoyo is not attached to the string)
1 Ewin Ee (Petaling Jaya) 80.00
2 Raymond Thian (Kuala Lumpur) 71.80
3 Jazli Iqbal (Petaling Jaya) 58.10
4 Nik Daniel (Kuala Lumpur) 31.08
5 Ahmad Alif (Malacca) 27.09
6 Shakeel (Ampang) 24.81
7 Wong KJ (Ampang) 18.09
8 Haffez (Johor) 12.33
Besides winning the gold medal for the Offstring division, I was lucky enough on the double hand division as well as the freehand division, took home 2 bronze medals too, hehe.
Apart from that, there were new faces in the yoyoing community. People like Oscar started playing in just a few months yet he managed to get into the single hand division finals. Azmi from Kedah was also a big shock to everyone taking 4th in it, must be having some underground training in Kedah. Congratz to all other winners.
also, big thanks to Honvee, Faeez and KJ for being the yoyo cameraman through out the whole event. I did not bring my camera, too many things to bring during the competition. I'll upload the pictures as soon as I get them.
Very tired now, I have to regain my sleep deficit. Went to the event area in Time Square to help out the setting up on Friday, came back at 4.30am. On Saturday, I was there from 10am to 9pm. and again on Sunday, spent 14 hours there, 10am to 12am. siaoness....
Parking was a bomb, total damage for 3 days - RM 30.
Petrol also cost me a bomb, 150km total.
Big thanks to the Singaporeans who came over to support the event too.
People like Colin, Iskandar, QingWen, JunJie, Ian and Melvin.
It would not be as fun as it was without you guys.!
Sorry about Colin's big haversack though, got stolen in Starbucks near to GSC.
Imagine people can steal the 70 litre bag which was right beside us when we were having our discussion and we didn't even notice it until the very end. Really sorry about it, I was quite near to the bag and yet I didn't even notice it being dragged away.
omg. A really bad impression for Malaysia. Haih....
Bad people Bad karma.
Ok, bad things go away.
So I'll be competing in the Asia Pacific YoYo Competition in November.
It will be held in Singapore this time!
It would be my first time getting seed in the finals representing Malaysia!
haha so happy, first time mar....
Last but not least, thanks to Kong Ray Dimi and all other committees for making this event a success!
Finals tomorrow.
Will do my best yo!

Throw Duncan!
for your info - Duncan is a world class yoyo company.

Dimi with his awesome looking pose!

and I was very reluctant to put that yellow cone on my head.
lol. Dimi felt the pain. haha
4 days to the most important day!
brings you a tutorial on
How to open a durian fruit with your hands.

1st step : Find the weak point.
There will be a zigzag line where a durian will naturally split apart between sections.
LOL

2nd step : Concentrate, bring all your energy up to your face and strike the weak point with your hands! hahaha

3rd and final step : Make sure you enjoy your durian fruit. Yummy
p/s - use a big sharp knife or a parang laaah... hahahhaa easier...
5 more days! I'm so excited....

I love kit kat! Those are imported...

This is a ballast, can be found in a fluorescent lamp.
It is a device to limit the amount of current in an electric circuit.
hehehe, so virtualmystic, I opened a fluorescent lamp..
more pics next time..
It's 7 more days till the real competition.
I'm really nervous. Hope I will do good on that day.
Woke up at 7am, went to METC for activities and took time off at 11am.
Went to Inti College for a yoyo performance.
Performance started at 1pm. sooo late....
2pm -Lunch in Asia Cafe.
2.30pm - Headed to Dimi's house for practice.
5pm - Decided to go to Sunway Pyramid, more yoyo playing.
9.30pm - Home. more yoyo.

Performing in Inti College.
Performance was not good due to strong wind -outdoor, offstring-light yoyos.

Oh and Ryan came down from Kuching, he's here for the Nationals next week.
Good luck bro. From top left, Faeez-Faris-Ryan-WooiMing-Ewin-Jonathan
Finally after waiting for 2 hours, uploaded my pictures into photobucket.
Don't really know what happened to the server, always Server IO error.
Or maybe it's my slow internet connection..
Anyway, after shooting spiders/tarantulas, we went to Canadian Pizza in Taman Tun for dinner. The pizzas were okaay, quite nice actually. 2 large pizzas for the price of 1 and surprisingly it was quite fast too. I enjoyed..

Canadian Pizza.

Barbeque Chicken toppings. sedapnyer
There was 1 more pizza but I was too hungry, so Makan laaah.
Ewin Photography brings you wild life with Tarantula..
Did some spidergraphy last week with my cousin.
These tarantulas are Not cheap, they can go up to a few thousand ringgit.
Of course they were moving here and there, capturing them in a good position was not an easy task.
Very dangerous.
Don't try this at home, poisonous tarantulas, you can become Spiderman if you get bitten by them.

This will be my favourite tarantula.!

This one a bit different, took it from the top.

This is nice too..

and the last one...
I want a Macro Lens!
Yes, the 4th Malaysian YoYo Championship is in 10 days time.

I will be competing too. Wish me luck.

Remember to watch Wall.E.
The movie was amazing, can say that it's the best movie I've watched this year.Overall 10/10 - A ++
Maybe I've over rated it, but I really like the movie.
Very touching and romantic.
The best thing is, there were so little dialogues.
You'll only be hearing Waaaaaall-eee... Evveee-aa..
Definitely a must watch movie of the year!
Best Pixar film.
Seriously go watch it as soon as possible.
Thanks to advertlets for the wonderful movie screening 3 days before the actual release date.
